The mission of the Van Horn Library is to inspire curiosity, strengthen literacy, and equip every student with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in learning, life, and the world beyond high school.
Van Horn Library is a welcoming space where every student is inspired to explore, think critically, create, and grow as a lifelong learner with equitable access to the tools and support needed for success in school and beyond.
To accomplish our vision, we will:
1. Ensure the library is a safe, engaging, and flexible space where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn and belong.
2. Provide diverse, relevant books and resources that encourage curiosity, foster literacy growth, and connect students with stories and information that matter to them.
3. Collaborate with teachers and students to build critical thinking, research, and digital literacy skills so all learners are prepared for success in school and beyond.
